It’s day 9 of Confinement in Carcassonne. So many of all of us around the world are now hunkered down, and we send great wishes to you and your loved ones for your health and pleasant experiences during confinement. We would be very interested to hear about your “stay at home” experiences. Here’s a little update about what’s going on in confinement in Carcassonne.
As you all know, on Tuesday March 17 at about noon, “confinement” started here in France for at least the next two weeks. Jeff and I are well, our pantries and wine cellars are well stocked. Here’s a little story about what Carcassonne, Coronavirus and Confinement is like.
Part two of our Carcassonne Gastronomy and Wine Tour for 25 Chevaliers du Tastevine from Hollywood – Wine tasting at Gerard Bertrand’s Chateau l’Hospitalet, and fabulous dinner of local specialties at Comte Roger in Carcassonne’s medieval walled city.
What a pleasure it was to plan and share two days of Carcassonne Wine Excursions for 25 Chevaliers du Tastevin from Los Angeles! In their 22 years of traveling to France every January for the feast day of St. Vincent in Burgundy, this is the first time they added our region, Languedoc–Roussillon, to their itinerary. It was so enjoyable to plan their two-day experience here and share in the fun!
