You may have heard that right now, much of Europe is experiencing the greatest heat wave (called “Canicule” in France) since 2003. We’re expected to reach well more than 100 degrees Fahrenheit for the next several days, and we’re receiving all kinds of warnings about how to survive the heat.
Thank you so much to our friends Carole and JJ for inviting us to a pool party and lunch at their beautiful home – what a fun way to beat the heat!
We’re also fortunate that our home has very thick stone walls; all of our windows have shutters that we can close, and around our house there are shaded spaces throughout the day, so we can find cool places to be.
