A Few First Photos of Carcassonne

We arrived in Carcassonne on Sunday July 29, 2018 — here are just a few photos of this beautiful city. The above photo is our home from the back garden.

Above: Here’s the main square in the Bastide, Place Carnot, with lots of outdoor restaurants, and an outdoor market three mornings every week.
Above: And, finally, the medieval walled city, Le Cite, as seen from Pont Vieux, on our first night here. Decked out in yellow stripes for the Tour de France – a stage ended here on July 22, and another started here on July 24. Fortunately, the yellow will go away soon.
