Enjoy a ride on Copenhagen’s “Boat Bus!” Budget traveler pro tip – the boat bus is “free” with your standard bus/train/metro pass (We bought a month-long pass at the train station for about $60 each. An amazing bargain!)
You can hop on the boat from many stops. From Copenhagen’s National Theatre, you can either travel to the left (toward the Opera and the Little Mermaid), or to the right (to more mellow sites) or do a long round trip. We most enjoyed the trip to the right – fewer people and low-key sites.
The photos show, starting in the upper left corner and going clockwise
- Beautiful Nyhavn (the “New” Harbor)
- The homely but fun and “free” “Boat Bus”
- The palace and its Marble Church (the Church is the building with the green dome)
- The National Theatre
- One of Copenhagen’s tall ships
- The Opera House
